"When You Live in a Shell"

This copper wire lady is wrapped in a spiral of clam shell pieces weathered by the ocean.

Commissioned by Soroptimists International of Kodiak for the exam room in the Community Health Center.  It features a mobile representing the four seasons:  pussy willow, green leaves of summer, autumn leaves and a snowflake.

Three rocks from the beach, one spilt; when wired together with salvaged copper wire and glass beads becomes an elegant lady.

This piece started with wiring a broken rock together.  Two figures then arose, each with half a heart inside the copper wire torso.  They hold a complete heart, made from two halves, in outstretched arms.
